The New Zealand Post Office invited forty artists to submit designs for
these health stamps, but only eleven artists responded and none of their
designs were selected for the final stamps. Instead, the Dominion Publicity
Panel of The King George V Memorial Children's Health Camps Federation
submitted a design from E Mervyn Taylor which was selected. The design
features the official seal in the form of a medallion bordered with Kowhai
flowers.
