Tarapex 2008 - the New Zealand National Exhibition and Australasian Challenge - was held in New Plymouth between the 7th and 9th of November 2008. The exhibition attracted nearly 700 frames of competitive and invited exhibits from the Australasian region and was organised by the Taranaki Philatelic Society under the patronage of the New Zealand Philatelic Federation.
